Get Involved

Students

Students, whether you are a budding entrepreneur, an original thinker, interested in the intersection of innovation and civic issues, or an artist finding new ways to tell a story, we urge you to participate in the Hatchery. This is a place to explore your questions. What do problems do you see in the world around you? What are the questions you should be asking in order to make the world a better place. Great solutions start with probing questions.

Current opportunities include NuVu Studio courses taking place in the MakerSpace, Mr. Gray’s dual enrollment course, “Introduction to Innovation Engineering”, mini courses during study hall to learn how to use the makerspace equipment, drop-in to the MakerSpace, participation through traditional coursework, and Independent Study options to actively work on a solution to a problem that interests you in the F’20.

Parents & Community Members

Volunteers play an important role in the success of the Hatchery. Consider volunteering as a project advisor/mentor. Project advisors/mentors are assigned to each student venture and provide critical mentorship and guidance.

This is an excellent way to make a real difference in students' lives and help them develop the knowledge and skills they'll need in today's workplace. For more information on how to get involved, contact Tom Gray at [email protected]

Business Partners

We envision partnering with local and state-wide organizations to host events, conduct a lecture series, and match mentors with students. We have the opportunity for world class partnerships within our own community (e.g. Camden Conference and PopTech). We will also tap into the expertise of entrepreneurs, social innovators, and other experts in our community. In addition, we have entered into a partnership with an independent school in Cambridge, MA, The NuVu School.
