Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment occurs when a student is enrolled in a course that counts as both a high school and a college credit. Research shows that successfully participating in a dual enrollment course is a strong indicator for later college success. CHRHS students can take up to 4 dual enrollment courses during their high school tenure at student or parent expense. CHRHS students typically take Dual Enrollment courses through either the University of Maine at Augusta Rockland campus (U-Rock) or the University of Maine Orono Hutchinson Center in Belfast, although any accredited college course would be applicable as long as it is cleared with the guidance department as part of a student's high school course load.
